Before you start, you need:

Prices, stock and product details always come from your WooCommerce products. Shipping, returns, warranty, payment and other store questions are answered only from what you publish in Store information. When the answer isn't there, the assistant says so instead of guessing.

Where you deliver comes from your WooCommerce shipping zones (WooCommerce → Settings → Shipping). When a shopper's cart is set to a country you don't deliver to, the assistant tells them before suggesting products that need delivery; digital products are suggested as usual. The exact address is confirmed at your checkout.

Add a page or an answer#

  1. Open Store information

In WordPress, open Shopping Assistant → Store information. The list shows what the assistant can answer from, and whether each item is published.

  2. Add a page from this site, or write an answer

Under Add a page from this site, choose the page and its type, such as Returns and refunds, then press Add page. The assistant follows the page when you edit it in WordPress. For a short answer, use Write a question and answer or other information.

  3. Set a start date or a return window if you need one

Takes effect on keeps a new policy out of answers until that day. For returns and refunds, Return window sets the days from the order date or from the day the order is completed: shoppers see when an order's window ends, and their requests show it to your team.

  4. Publish it

Press Publish in the list. The assistant answers from it from then on, or from its start date.

Set the tone with notes#

In Assistant → Notes for the assistant, set the tone and what to highlight. When a note asks for something the assistant won't do — revealing its instructions, asking shoppers for personal details, offering discounts, health or safety claims, recommending above a shopper's budget or answering in one fixed language — WordPress lists it in a warning.

Find what's missing#

Insights lists questions the assistant couldn't answer and missing store information, once two different shoppers asked, so you know what to publish next.
