  1. Products don't reach the assistant
  2. The assistant doesn't show on your store
  3. Other cases

Before you start, you need:

  • A WordPress login as the store's owner or an admin.
  • The plugin's Overview open: it names most problems and what to do.

Shopping, the cart and checkout on your store keep working whatever happens to the assistant. Most problems show on the plugin's Overview in WordPress, with what to do.

Products don't reach the assistant#

  1. Read the last problem

On the Overview, Product catalog → Last problem names the cause.

  2. Something in front of the store answered instead

A firewall, security plugin or CDN blocks Seyaq — often a bot challenge, or a plugin that turns off the WordPress REST API. Allow requests to /wp-json/seyaq-sa/ from the user agent SeyaqShoppingAssistant, then press Sync now.

  3. The store took more than 30 seconds

Slow hosting: Seyaq tries again on its own, reading fewer products at a time.

  4. A product could not be read

Products the assistant could not read lists it with the field to fix and a link to edit it. The next sync adds it.

The assistant doesn't show on your store#

  • Switched off: if the Emergency switch card shows the assistant off, press Turn the assistant on.
  • No plan: the assistant answers during the free trial or an active plan; the Overview's Subscription card says which.
  • An update is needed: when WordPress shows "Update … to version … or later", the assistant waits until you update the plugin under Plugins.
  • Page caching: pages with the assistant can be cached as usual. With a strict Content-Security-Policy, allow https://api.seyaq.ai in connect-src.

Other cases#

  • WordPress multisite: activate the plugin on each site, not for the whole network. Before deleting a site, disconnect it in that site's Overview → Connection.
  • A new domain: connect again from the WordPress at the new domain. A site copied with its database reconnects at once; a fresh WordPress can connect the store once the old site is disconnected or has been offline for 7 days. Seyaq checks with the site while you connect, so it must be online.
  • The plugin can't create its tables: ask your host to let WordPress create database tables. Until then the assistant answers questions but offers no cart changes.
  • Still stuck: send a request from the Seyaq support tab.
